Where does the outside vent hook to the fireplace and how does the air get into the combustion chamber? Does that interfere with the air circulating from the blower assembly?

Our Answer:

On most models, the outside air knockout is located on the right side of the box, although a few models have the inlet on the left. There is a dedicated air supply tube that runs from the outer wall of the fireplace to directly behind the refractory panels. This tube prevents outside air from mixing with any circulating room air.
