What is difference between the Caravan Displayshade and the Caravan Alumashade? Is there a weight difference? Will a 600 denier top give better UV protection than a 300 denier Top?

Our Answer:

The Displayshade is 68 pounds and the Alumashade is 45 pounds. The Displayshade has mid-grade steel frame and the Alumashade has a mid-grade aluminum frame. They are approximately equivalent as far as durability is concerned. The tops are equally UV treated; however, a thicker top may provide a bit more protection.
