Our Answer:

This manufactured fireplace has refractory brick panels that are set inside a sheet metal firebox that can be framed into a wall or enclosure. A masonry fireplace will be completely constructed with firebrick and mortar, whereas a manufactured unit such as this is meant only to give the appearance of a masonry fireplace, as the face of the unit can be built over with brick. We do indeed sell the appropriate vent pipe for this fireplace. If you prefer, please fill out our Chimney Pipe Design & Quote Form and we can provide a quote for everything you would need. We are an online-only retailer and we do not offer installation services. For your reference, you may use the NFI (National Fireplace Institute) website to locate a local certified installer in your area. Their website is www.nficertified.org. Once there, just click on the "Public" link on the right hand side and enter your zip code.
