How thick is the square flange material? Will a 12" OD insulated 10" ID pipe slip into this? Also, can this be welded or attached to the top of a 1/4" steel firebox?

Our Answer:

The square flange material is fairly thin and is no more than 20 gauge in thickness. As such, it would be difficult to MIG weld, even on a low heat setting. I recommend bolting it and using furnace cement to seal it. This anchor plate can accept the 10" ID/ 12" OD Duratech pipe. The metal lances are different from brand to brand. As such, it may not allow others to lock properly, even if the diameters are the same.
