I have a wood burning fireplace. There are 4 rectangular openings around the fireplace. They appear to be where a fan would go to circulate air around the metal liner behind the fireplace. Is there a blower kit that can be used to circulate air this way?

Our Answer:

The openings you describe are indeed common on many models of circulating fireplace. This would allow a fan or pair of fans to be used to circulate air. Unfortunately, we only offer blowers for specific units. We do not sell them by dimension. However, theoretically, you could order a pair of blowers and alter as needed. In order to check availability of parts, please provide the model number and manufacturer name of the fireplace. This can be found on the build plate, which is often affixed to the wall of the fireplace, just behind the screens. It may also be located in the floor of the fireplace, beneath the concrete liner.
