I have an Osborn 2400 insert that is 12 years old and the motor on the blower fan is almost shot. Who can I get to repair it? Or, where can I get a motor and how difficult would it be to repair myself?

Our Answer:

The 120 volt motors for this unit are fairly universal and can replaced with a similar model. Most local electronics shops could do this kind of rebuild. You could also purchase a replacement motor, based on the specifications on the build sticker, then replace it yourself. The process is fairly straightforward and would only require the removal of the squirrel cage fans. The manufacturer does offer the complete blower assembly, without the housing.
