Can I add a wood burning insert to my fireplace without losing my existing glass doors?

Our Answer:

Unfortunately, no. All wood burning inserts require the removal of any existing door enclosure, as the insert will have a sealed door of its own that must be readily accessed. The insert must also be able to readily radiate heat to the room. Your factory door enclosure would likely prevent this to a degree.
