The pilot is out on my GDI-44N gas firplace insert. How do I re-light it?

Our Answer:

Rotate the gas control knob from the "off" to the "pilot" position. Push the red spark ignitor button repeatedly while pushing the gas knob in. The pilot should light. Continue holding the knob for 30 seconds. The thermocouple should now be warm enough and the knob can be released. Leave the knob in the "pilot" position when not using the unit. Rotate it to the "on" position when you would like the main burner to light.
