Our Answer:

Depending on if you have a wood burning fireplace or a gas fireplace, you will have varying success with our high-temperature paint. Whenever you paint the interior of a wood burning fireplace, the high-temp paint we sell will eventually peel and crack due to the excessive heat and contact with the flames. In a gas unit, it will have more life, but we still cannot guarantee how long it will last. Assuming you want to paint it black, please see this item: Stove Paint Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
