Why are some fans for wood stoves and some for gas?

Our Answer:

Because wood and gas stoves will have much different surface temperatures, different motors are used in each Ecofan to optimize performance. The gas stove fans are designed to start operating at a lower temperature and are not designed to be exposed to the high temperatures generated by a wood stove. The wood stove fans start operating at a higher temperature and would not move much air if used with a gas stove.
