Can aluminum liner be used to vent a furnace?

Our Answer:

An aluminum liner can be used to vent a gas furnace as long as the liner is being routed through an existing masonry chimney. Flue gases from a gas furnace are not corrosive enough to warrant the use of a stainless steel liner.
