I am building a mountain cabin at 8,600 feet. Can this or another propane wall heater be used at this altitude?

Our Answer:

This unit, along with our larger capacity models, can be used at high altitude without a problem. They will however, suffer a 6% loss in heating capacity per 1,000 feet of altitude past 4,500 feet. You may want to switch to a slightly larger unit if this will affect total heating capacity enough to make the current model inadequate.
