Our Answer:

This unit will be a bit too large for your application. It requires a finished opening of 34 7/16" wide by 32 1/4" tall. Our Vent-Free Innsbrook, found below, would fit well in your fireplace and the included surround would cover your fireplace opening. In Response to Question:

I need to know the rough opening required for this product. I have a fireplace built with fire brick and a chimney which we do not use with real wood because it stinks up the house. We have propane logs installed now in the opening which is open on both sides heating two rooms. We would like to put an insert in the opening that includes a fan to circulate the heat throughout the room. We can close one side if needed. the opening is 25 1/2" high by 33 1/8" wide. Is there anything that will fit?
