I have a bay-window 2200. What are the tubes at the top of the firebox used for? I have noted that the draft comes from a small hole in the front of the inside of firebox. Are there other draft things which make it so efficient?

Our Answer:

These tubes are your secondary air supply. By providing the fire with the necessary air for combustion, they ensure that it remains burning at its most efficient level.
