Our Answer:

In order to start a stovepipe installation, you will first need an appliance adaptor. This acts as the starting collar for the stovepipe and mates it to the stove. You will then proceed with as much rigid pipe as needed, until you get within about 18 to 24 inches of the ceiling. Next, a slip connector, like this item, will be used to connect to a ceiling support box. The slip connector is adjustable and allows some movement in your stovepipe installation. The ceiling support box acts as the starting point for your chimney system and gives support to all the weight of the chimney. If you like, I can assemble a quote for your installation, based on the dimensions of your interior room and the attic space above it.
