Is this a variable speed fan? If so, does it operate by thermostat or is it manual speed controlled? Lastly, is this a quiet fan?

Our Answer:

This fan features both a thermostatic switch and a manual speed control. The fan will not activate until the switch has detected sufficient heat for the blower to be effective. Once the blower is operating, you can manually control the blower speed by turning a rheostat on the blower. You may also override the thermostatic switch by turning the fan off with the rheostat, should you not want the fan to operate. The fan is relatively quiet on lower speeds, however it will produce a noticeable amount of noise when the speed is adjusted to a higher setting. It is by no means an intrusive amount of noise and is comparable to a box fan set to a medium speed level.
