Is it ok to hook a 5.5 inch pipe to a stove calling for a 6 inch pipe?

Our Answer:

It is never recommended to use a pipe size with less diameter than your appliance's opening. You should try to use 6" pipe if at all possible. We have 6" stovepipe, class A chimney pipe and chimney liner from a few different manufacturers.
