What is a ceramic liner? Are they designed to be placed over existing refractory panels that are cracked?

Our Answer:

Ceramic liner is the faux brick found within gas fireplaces. They are lightweight and cannot withstand the heat of a wood fire. All of our ceramic fiber is fireplace model-specific. For example, this item is for use only with Empire's 42" 42" Keystone Premium fireplaces. You would need to replace your cracked refractory panel, which, I assume is within a woodburning fireplace. We do offer some universal refractory panels that will work for any woodburning fireplace.
