Our Answer:

Generally, this product is designed for cathedral ceilings. A separate attic insulation shield is required when a chimney system passes through an attic as tall as yours. A better support item for your installation is our round ceiling support. This item can indeed be used in conjunction with an attic insulation shield. In Response to Question:

I am running stove pipe through a drop ceiling. I have a Franklin stove with 8" pipe off it. drop ceiling has tile and 4" of insulation and about 3 ft to metal roof. I live in country I have converted a metal building into a house. The area above the drop ceiling is wide open until you get to metal roof. I need a ceiling support box that I can attached to framing of drop ceiling and extends up above insulation I would like the support box to also work as an attic shield above the insulation and drop ceiling.
