Difference between Fireplace / Firebox / Fireplace Insert
Posted by on 09 October 2013 08:00 AM

The term "fireplaces" as it pertains to the items on our website, is in essence a manufactured, steel fireplace that can be framed into a wooden enclosure. "Fireplace inserts" are installed inside of existing fireplaces, both manufactured and masonry. "Firebox" can refer to both the inside of a fireplace or fireplace insert, or a full manufactured steel box that can house a vent-free gas appliance (such as our ventless gas log sets).
