Our Answer: This cap should press right into your factory pipe with no problem. However, you'll want to confirm with your fireplace's installation manual that a cross-section of 50.3 square inches is an adequate vent opening. In Response to Question: I have a wood burning fireplace. When it is windy outside and we have a fire burning, we get puffs of spoke that come into our living room. The serial number in the fireplace is DESA WB056653. Our chimney is a dual-wall, cylindrical chimney with 8 inch diameter inner cylinder and a 12 inch diameter outer diameter. The current chimney cap is attached to the outer cylinder (the 12 inch one). It is a cylinder with mesh on the sides with a flat circular plate on top. This looks like the cap that we need. Can you please confirm that I'm picking the right one? From Page: CPF-14908 Manufacturer's Product Number: 14908 Our SKU: 14908 Page ID: cpf-14908 | |
