I would like to frame in and use artificial stone to create a fireplace i a new house under construction. Is the GVF 36 Propane suitable for this purpose? I would add louvres, blower w/ thermostat and a remote. Is anything else necessary to complete the

Indeed, it is. That installation would work well for Napoleon's GVF. Because this unit is ventless, the accessories you mentioned are really all that are needed.
