I want to build on of these into the wall of a new house. (no existing fireplace.) My plan is to tile right up to the edge of the firebox face so desire the smallest front profile. Prefer a more traditional look vs ultra modern as well. Which face/access

Our Answer:

I would recommend the black metal frame with glass for your installation. This is the best choice to surround with tile and gives a good clean edge to work with. This is also the more traditional of the two options. The blower will work with all facings. On the black metal surround, there are louvers on the top lip of the metal that allow the heated air to be circulated from the blower.
