I have a Dexen module which is housed in a pineapple. The switch on the top of the pineapple will not act properly - when touching one of the wire contacts you get a mild shock. Is there any way of checking the Dexen module to see if it is shorting out?

Our Answer:

Unfortunately, we are not familiar with this accessory manufactured by Dexen. However, comparing it to our Peterson PCC1, we can say that no real repair is available for these sound modules. They are a closed unit and no replacement parts are available. So, unless there is an obvious short in the wiring, replacing the unit would be best.
