Our Answer:

After confirming with the manufacturer, your chimney height would allow the use of either 3" or 4" diameter venting, but 4" would yield better performance given your elevation.

In Response to Question:

I am planning to place an order for this Fireplace Insert and the required flashing in the morning. I am planning to install this unit in place of on old wood burning stove which vents out to an old 13 ft. high brick chimney. This chimney is on the outside of my cabin. I assume since I am at 9,000 ft. altitude, that I will require the 4 inch venting and any other parts needed to complete this installation.
