Majestic 36 inch Designer Right Corner Direct Vent Gas Fireplace: The mounting I am planning is to have the fireplace mounted in corner as above, but to frame in a corner base so fireplace is up off the floor about 3 feet. Is that doable?

Our Answer:

This is certainly a viable option, as long as proper clearance to the ceiling is maintained. The unit requires a minimum of 2 feet from the top of the standoffs to bottom of a combustible ceiling. Being that the unit has a height of 4 feet from the base to the top of the standoffs and the unit will be raised an additional 3 feet, you would need at least 9 foot ceilings in the area you plan to install the unit.
