Installing VBV42C into my fireplace. Will be putting a 10" Mantle above, I need to know the required height for the mantle placement?

For minimum mantel clearances, please refer to page 11 of the owner's manual (can be downloaded on this item page). Per this diagram, you will need about 20" from the top of your opening to the mantel.
