What's the difference between the PTS-G45A-16-APK-17N and PTS-G45A-16-APK-15N, other than price? I can't find anything in the manual to distinguish between them.

Our Answer:

The APK-17 is a smaller, lower profile pilot assembly that can only utilize its variable flame capability by a remote or wall switch. The APK-15 is a larger, more robust unit that gives the ability to control flame height from the remote or from the pilot assembly itself. The APK-15 is ideal for larger BTU burners, as it can handle the increased gas flow more easily. However, the size of burner you are viewing can use either valve and the only real difference would be the aforementioned usability.
