We prefer to detail the glass perimeter with a narrow frame or frameless. Do you have recommendations on the most appropriate detail for a minimal or zero frame?

The requirements for framing and facing this fireplace are included in the owner's manual. Please note that the textured black face you see in the item photo is an optional accessory, and no such faceplate/surround is required to install this unit.
