Our Answer:

When dealing with a vent-free set in a masonry fireplace, your options will be limited. There is no blower that can be used with a vent-free log set when used in a masonry fireplace. Unless the fireplace has a built-in housing to accept a blower, there is not a way to retrofit one. As for remote control of the unit, this will depend on the gas valve.

In Response to Question:

I have a NG gas fireplace log set. The pilot is always on and the flame is manually adjusted with a dial. I would like this set to have a wall switch, remote, or both to turn on the flame to a set size (does not need to be variable). I would also like a fan to blow the warm air into the room. This set is installed into a masonry fireplace but is not vented. Do product exists for what I have described above?
